A client told me my weekly reports were 'a wall of numbers' and it stung
Had a client call about 6 weeks ago, a bakery owner in Sacramento, and she said she stopped reading my weekly reports around week two. She said it was just a wall of numbers with no point. I was pretty hurt at first because I put 3 hours into each one. Then I looked at my own last report and honestly she was right, it was 4 pages of stats with no takeaway. So now I write one line at the top that says what happened and what I'm doing about it, then the numbers go under that. My retention went from losing 2 clients a quarter to keeping everyone for 8 months now. Anyone else had a client give them feedback that hit hard but turned out to be right?
