Yesterday's broccoli disaster in the air fryer has me second-guessing everything
I planned a simple meal with air fried broccoli as a side. Half of it was blackened while the rest was still tough. My kids complained and I had to make something else last minute. It feels like such a waste of time and food. I'm starting to wonder if air frying veggies is worth the hassle.

Try shaking the basket halfway!

My friend Mark tried to cook frozen fries without shaking the basket. They all stuck together in a big, greasy lump. The ones on top were still icy, but the bottom layer was black. He had to toss the whole mess and start over. Now he never skips the halfway shake.

It's the difference between a soggy mess and perfect fries. A good shake gets hot oil into all the nooks and crannies, so everything cooks even. I even add an extra shake with stuff like tater tots.
