Hot take: I quit writing zone lists on paper after 6 panels in one week got messed up
I used to pencil in every zone on a sheet of paper and tape it inside the can, and honestly it worked fine for my first eight years doing this. Then last spring I did 6 panel swaps in one week in Rochester and lost track of which sheet went with which house, so I started writing zones straight on the inside of the door with a paint pen. The paper sheets would fall off in the heat or get buried behind the battery, and one time a guy who bought a house actually mailed me a photo of a list that made no sense. Now I just snap a pic on my phone and text it to the homeowner before I leave, takes like 20 seconds. My handwriting on metal is ugly but it never falls off. Anyone else ditch the paper, or do you still keep a cheat sheet somewhere?
