Rant: wasted $120 on a cheap pole pruner that snapped on the third branch

Honestly, I thought I was saving money by grabbing a $120 pole pruner off Amazon instead of the name brand ones. Took it out last week on a job in Portland to trim some maple branches, and the head just cracked on the third cut. The lock bolt fell out and I had to scramble to catch the pole before it hit a parked car. Ngl, I should've just paid the extra for a fiberglass Silky or something. Anyone else get burned by cheap gear like this?

Man, that sucks but come on, it's $120 for a pole pruner. What did you really expect?

Ah man, I feel you. It's still frustrating even for a budget tool when you expect it to at least work out of the box.
