Hit 400 flint points in my Ohio collection and number 312 turned out to be a Clovis
I have been surface hunting creek beds around Licking County for about 8 years and finally labeled point number 400 in my case last month. Number 312, a 3 inch piece I picked up near Flint Ridge two summers ago, got identified as a Clovis base by a guy from the local chapter, which puts it around 13,000 years old. I had been walking past that thing in my display thinking it was just a broken Kirk corner notch. Anybody else have a piece they mislabeled for years before someone set them straight?
