Just compared my first Milky Way shot from 2022 to one I took last night and wow
I pulled up the old file from July 2022, shot on a Canon T7 with the kit lens, and it's just a brown smear with maybe 200 visible stars. Last night I shot the same spot from the same hill outside Flagstaff with a used Rokinon 14mm f/2.8 and stacked 40 frames, and the dust lanes actually show up. The difference is mostly the lens and learning to stack, not some magic camera upgrade. Anyone else keep their old junk shots around just to see how far they've come?
