Vent: I always turned down my niece when she asked to learn body work

I thought it was no place for her and she would just be in the way. But she stayed late last Friday to help me buff out a deep scratch on a door panel. Her focus and gentle touch with the polisher were honestly impressive. We had a real good time talking shop while we worked. Now I get that passing skills to family makes the job way more fun.

Mixing family and work often leads to drama, no joke. Once you start teaching her, she might assume she can borrow tools whenever or skip steps on harder jobs. If she messes up a customer's car, you're the one who has to deal with the fallout and pay for it. That stress can ruin both the work and family vibes, lol.

Buffer lessons come with free family therapy, apparently.
