Pro tip: the $180 I spent on an extended warranty actually paid out $2,400 on a transmission

I almost skipped it when the finance guy at the dealer in Boise offered it, but the transmission went out at 71,000 miles and the plan covered the whole job minus a $100 deductible. Has anyone else had one of these actually come through, or did I just get lucky with the timing?
