Rant: My uncle's heavy pack slowed us down on the ridge trail
We planned a two-day loop on the North Ridge path. My uncle brought way too much gear and we fell behind schedule. Ended up camping earlier than planned and missed the best views. Can anyone suggest lighter, faster routes for mixed-age groups? I don't want to leave him behind, but we need to keep moving.
Ugh, this is like when my dad brings three toolboxes for a simple fix and we waste half the day. That extra stuff just bogs you down, whether it's on a trail or just trying to get stuff done at home. We all carry too much mental clutter sometimes, always overpreparing.
