Saw the JMT get wrecked in 2 seasons and it's the pack traffic, not the weather
Hiked the stretch past Thousand Island Lake in 2021 and again last July, and the campsites went from a few tents to a full-on village with bare dirt widening 15 feet in spots, so honestly I think we need a permit cap on the High Sierra Trail junction and I'm curious if other people have seen that same jump on their regular routes.
