The $180 down quilt that made me ditch my 20 year old sleeping bag in Yosemite

Everyone swears by the old synthetic bags for durability, but after 3 nights at 9,000 feet last October I was shivering at 25 degrees. Spent the cash on a light down quilt and honestly it saved my back and my sleep, has anyone else made the switch and regretted the cost?
