Dropped $400 on a garage mini split and it saved my summer, but now I'm worried about winter
I put a 12k BTU mini split in my garage last June for about $400 and it kept my shop at 75 degrees while it was 105 outside, which saved me from passing out on a big project. Now that it's getting cold, I'm realizing I never thought about heating and I'm scared the thing will just freeze up or cost me a fortune to run. Has anyone here used one of these through a full winter, and did you do anything special to keep it from turning into a brick?
