Threw $150 down the drain on a cheap plasma cutter from Amazon
Bought one of those $150 plasma cutters off Amazon thinking I was getting a deal for some backyard metal work. Worked okay for the first 3 cuts on 1/4 inch steel, then the tip melted and the thing just stopped. No warranty help, no returns. Ended up borrowing my neighbor's Hypertherm and finished my gate project in an hour. Anyone else get burned by cheap Chinese welder or cutter gear?

Honestly, sounds like you just had bad luck, it's not that deep.
