Built a 10x12 shed studio in my Denver yard last month, and the neighbor's sprinkler soaked it twice
Last month I finally finished my 10x12 shed studio in the backyard here in Denver, and I thought I had the drainage all figured out. Turns out my neighbor's sprinkler head points right at the north wall, so after two good soaks I had water dripping past the door threshold and a soggy rug. I dug a 6 inch trench along that side and filled it with gravel, which cost me about $40 and an afternoon. Now I'm wondering if I should have just asked him to turn the head a little instead of digging. Has anyone else fought a neighbor's sprinkler setup like this, and did the gravel actually hold up through winter?
