Counted my rejected logo drafts last night and hit 200 before I found the one
I keep a folder called 'dont use' for every logo idea a client turns down, and I finally opened it up and counted 200 files before the logo we actually shipped. That number stopped me cold because it means I drew roughly 200 versions of a single mark over 6 weeks, most of them after midnight at my kitchen table in Boise. The one that got approved was sketch 3 that first week, which I had sent and then forgot about. I had been redrawing it over and over without knowing I already had it, just because nobody had picked it yet. Does anyone else keep a reject pile like this, and how many files are in yours?
