Just realized the self-checkout at my grocery store has TWO different bagging areas and I always guess wrong
Went to the Kroger on 5th street last Tuesday with a full cart and got stuck at the self-checkout for 12 minutes because I could not figure out where to put my bags. The screen points to the left scale but the bag hooks are on the right, and if you put anything on the wrong side it locks up and flashes red until an employee comes over. The second time this happened the guy told me the left side is for scanned items only and the right side is for bags, which is the opposite of what the little picture on the screen shows. I tried the regular lane after that and it was faster even with a line of 4 people. Does anyone else have a store where the self-checkout setup makes zero sense, or is it just this location?
