I finally caught why our warehouse aisle signs confuse everyone, and it's the font
Three pickers pulled the wrong pallet in one shift on Tuesday, so I walked the aisles with a tape measure and a fresh eye. Turns out the signs use a thin condensed font at 40 feet, and the 1 and 7 look identical from the forklift. I reprinted them in a bold block font with wider spacing and the mis-picks dropped to zero by Thursday. Funny how I blamed the crew before I blamed the lettering. Anyone else had to defend a font swap to a boss who thinks it's just "making it look fancy"?
