My old design teacher said never mix serif and comic sans, and a client's taco truck menu proved her dead right
Back in art school my teacher Marsha told us mixing a fancy serif heading with Comic Sans body text was the fastest way to make anything look cheap. I laughed it off until last month when a taco truck owner in Fresno handed me his menu, which had "Birria Tacos" in a curly script right above the meat list in Comic Sans. Customers kept asking if the $4 price was real because the whole thing looked like a kid's birthday invite, and he lost about $200 a day for a week. I switched the whole menu to one clean font and he sold out by 2pm that Saturday. So what's the worst font pairing you have seen on a food menu?
