PSA: My bank put my account statement in Comic Sans and I switched banks over it
I opened my monthly statement from a small credit union here in Boise last week and the whole thing was set in Comic Sans. Not just the header, the actual numbers, my balance, my rent payment, all of it. I called and asked if it was a mistake and the woman said their marketing team picked it because it feels friendly. I sat there for 10 minutes just staring at my rent amount in a font that looks like a birthday card for a 7 year old. I moved my checking and savings to a different bank 3 days later, and honestly the new statements are boring as hell but that is exactly what I want from a document about my money. Am I crazy for caring this much, or has anyone else bailed on a whole service because of the font they chose?
