Appreciation post: the DMV site's plain radio buttons after 4 tries on my city's new permit portal
My city just rolled out a permit portal where the submit button sits right next to cancel with the same gray styling, and I clicked cancel twice before I noticed the DMV's boring old site, which just uses big plain radio buttons and a green continue, got me through the whole thing in one shot, so why do cities keep buying these fancy portals that make a simple form feel like a trap?
