Pro tip: I hit 40 taps on a coffee maker just to brew one cup
I was at a hotel in Denver last month and the in-room coffee maker wanted me to tap through 6 screens and hit start 40 times before it would brew. A regular drip pot used to be one switch, maybe two. Now I just bring my own Aeropress because I can't deal with a touchscreen that lags 2 seconds per press. What's the worst tap count you've ever hit on a simple machine?

The tap thing is everywhere now. My microwave at home has a keypad with 30 buttons but the only one I ever use is the +30 seconds, and my parents' new fridge needs a wifi login just to change the temp. Even my car wants me to tap "agree" on a screen every single time I start it, like I didn't already agree yesterday. Somewhere along the way we decided every simple task needed a menu and a software update. A light switch still works with one finger, and nobody has improved on that in 100 years.
