Folks keep skipping the neck line when they rush a fade

I've seen three walk-ins this week alone from the same gym crowd in Austin, and every single one had a neck line that stopped an inch too high, like they were scared to go lower. The reason it matters is the whole back of the cut looks unfinished, and by day two it's growing out into a weird patchy strip that screams 'I did this myself.' I know because I tore down my barber chair last month and measured my own fades against photos from the last 40 cuts I did, and the ones where I followed the natural hairline down to the nape always look cleaner.
