Thought warm lather was overhyped until a guy in Buffalo showed me his routine
I always figured a hot towel and some canned foam was good enough, but a barber named Sal at his place on Elmwood Ave walked me through building lather with a brush and a bowl of warm water. My shaves on the neckline got way closer and I stopped getting razor burn on clients with sensitive skin after about two weeks of practicing. It sounds fussy but it honestly cut my cleanup time down too, since the lather holds the hair instead of flinging it everywhere. Any of you using a scuttle or warmer setup, or do you just build it in your hand?
