Picked a cheap chain tool over the Park one and snapped a pin on my first try
Had a chain to shorten on a customer's bike Friday morning and my old Park CT-3 was nowhere in the bucket, so I grabbed a $12 no-name tool from the drawer instead of driving across town for a new one. First pin pushed about halfway and the whole thing bent sideways on me, which meant I had to cut a second link and redo the whole job. Customer was waiting, so I ate the extra ten minutes and just used a quick link I had on hand. That cheap tool is now in the trash and I'm back to the Park, lesson cost me one chain and my pride. Anyone got a chain tool under $40 that actually holds up?
