My brother-in-law insisted we watch the first three episodes of 'Severance' back-to-back

We were at his place in Denver last weekend, and he said 'you have to get past the weirdness to see the hook'. He was right, because by the end of the third one, we had to know what was in that basement. What's a show that really needs a few episodes to grab you?

Remember when everyone was obsessed with The Wire? I tried it twice and gave up after the first episode, all that cop jargon just lost me. My friend basically made me watch the first four with him, and by the time they found the tower phone, I was totally in.
