Realized I was skipping the best part of anthologies for years
I used to fast forward through every episode of anthology shows like Black Mirror or Love, Death & Robots if the first scene didn't grab me. Thought skipping to the twist was the efficient move, you know? Then last month my buddy in Austin made me watch The Outer Limits from 1995 straight through, and it hit me that the slow build is what makes the payoff land. The quiet tension in those middle 15 minutes is the whole reason I cared about the ending at all. Anyone else catch themselves doing this with miniseries too, or just me?
