Showerthought: My friend said my binge choices were all too heavy last year

She told me to mix in a comedy between every dark drama, and now after 12 shows I actually enjoy the lighter ones more than the gut punches.

I used to be one of those people who thought lighter shows were just filler or mindless entertainment lol. But your friend might actually be onto something. I started throwing a comedy in between every heavy drama like True Detective or The Leftovers and found myself actually looking forward to the funny episodes more. The "mix in a comedy" idea really changed how I watch stuff now. It makes the heavy hits land harder when you're not constantly in that dark headspace.
