Stumbled on a 2019 Korean thriller that broke my 3 episode rule

I almost skipped 'The King: Eternal Monarch' because the time travel premise sounded confusing. But a coworker in Seattle kept quoting the parallel universe line from the first episode, so I gave it 20 minutes. The writing is so tight that I burned through all 16 episodes in two weekends, which is rare for me since I drop most shows after episode 2. The romance actually makes sense in the plot, and the villain's motive kept me guessing until episode 11. Anyone else find a show that made them delete their usual watch limit? What was yours?

Damn, that's exactly how I got hooked on 'Signal' back in 2019... told myself one episode to see what the fuss was about, then suddenly it's 3am and I'm googling if the detective ever finds his brother. My rule is usually two episodes max, but that show made me lie to myself for six straight nights, saying "just one more" like it was a diet cheat meal. Even the radio static sounds tense in that show, which is stupid to admit but here we are. Ended up canceling a Saturday with friends just to finish the last three episodes... no regrets, but my social life took a hit.
