Showerthought: blew $70 on a dice tower in 2019 and it's the only thing on my table that never gets packed away
Back when my group still met at Denny's on Tuesday nights, dice were flying off the table into everyone's pancakes and somebody knocked over a whole stack of Catan cards twice in one game. So I dropped around $70 on a wooden dice tower, which felt insane to my friends at the time since we were all broke college kids. Fast forward to now, that same tower has survived maybe 200 game nights, three moves, and a cat who thinks it's a ramp, while the fancy playmat I bought the same year got ruined by a spilled soda within a week. It's ugly and one corner is chipped but it still rolls fair. Curious what random purchase from your early game days turned out to be the one thing you'd actually replace today?
