Bought a $180 weld gauge set from a supply house in Gary and it was junk after 2 jobs
Picked up a set of undercut and crown gauges from a supply house in Gary back in March because the shop set was always missing pieces. By the second boiler job the markings had worn smooth and the feeler leaves bent like tinfoil, so I was basically eyeballing my caps again. Anyone got a brand of gauges that actually survives a turnaround, or do I just buy the cheap ones and treat them as disposable?
