Just counted my practice bindings and hit 100, but only 12 are ones I'd show anyone
I started keeping every single one instead of tossing the bad ones, and seeing 100 stacked on the shelf in my basement in Portland really made me realize the first 80 were me learning how to fold signatures without tearing paper, so for anyone further along, how many practice runs did it take before your stitching stopped looking wobbly?
So when you say the first 80 were "learning how to fold signatures without tearing paper," was it the folding itself that was the hard part or lining up the grain so the spine didn't fight you? I'm at like 30 bindings and still tear one every few sessions, so I'm wondering if that ever actually stops or you just get better at hiding it.
