Serious question, how do you guys keep mortar from drying out on long porch jobs?
Last weekend I was laying a brick porch in Tucson and my mortar kept setting up in the pan every 20 minutes. I tried adding a little more water but that just made it weak and sloppy. Ended up losing about 3 hours total just mixing small batches and scraping the pan. Anyone got a trick for keeping it workable when it is 95 degrees and you are on the sunny side of the house?
