Switched from a 4 foot level to a 6 foot one on a garage wall in Bend and the difference was night and day
I built a 22 foot garage wall last spring using my old 4 foot level, and the courses wandered about 3/8 of an inch over the run. A guy named Ray on the crew handed me his 6 foot box beam level for the next wall, and I had to tap almost nothing to keep it dead on. I never thought 2 extra feet of aluminum would matter that much on a straight run, but you catch the drift before it stacks up. Anyone else made the jump to a longer level, or do you just check with a line and call it good?
