Frozen veggies beat fresh for my weekly meal prep and I have the math to prove it

Honestly, I did a breakdown last month for my own lunches because I was tired of throwing out wilted spinach and slimy bell peppers. A 2 pound bag of frozen mixed veg costs me about $2.50 at the local grocery here in Akron, while the same amount fresh runs close to $6 and half goes bad by Wednesday. I tracked it over 3 weeks and I saved roughly $14 a week just by switching, plus the frozen ones are already chopped which saves me about 10 minutes of prep each night. What really surprised me was that the flash-freezing keeps more vitamin C than the fresh stuff sitting in my fridge for 4 days, I read that on a USDA fact sheet. Anyone else do the frozen route for meal prep, or do you have a trick to keep fresh produce from going bad so fast?
