Slept in a $9 hostel bed in Lisbon and honestly it beat the $120 hotel I booked after
I booked one night at a cheap hostel near Alfama just to save cash and figured I'd hate it, but the free breakfast and the people in my room gave me better tips than any guidebook. The $120 hotel the next night had paper thin walls and no one to talk to. Anyone else find the cheap place ends up being the better call?
