My buddy in Ohio told me I was wasting money on my 'emergency fund' and it totally threw me off.
We were at a cookout last Saturday and he said I should stop putting $50 a month into savings and just use a credit card for emergencies like he does. I mean, I get the logic but the whole point of a budget for me is to avoid that debt spiral. Has anyone else had a friend try to talk them out of a savings plan that actually works for them?

Had a cousin tell me the same thing about my car repair fund. He laughed and said just put it on a zero percent card. Then his transmission blew, the intro rate expired, and he's been paying that off for two years. My $800 in the bank covered my alternator last month, no stress. Stick with your plan.

My cousin used a zero percent card for his roof and invested his cash. He made more in the market than the repair cost even after the rate went up. Smart use of credit can actually beat just saving.
