That hotel thermostat with the touchscreen slider almost made me miss my sister's wedding pics
Stayed at a place in Reno two weekends ago for my sister's wedding, and the room thermostat had no buttons at all, just a flat glass panel where you slide your finger up and down to change the temp. I stood there at 2am swiping for almost a minute and nothing happened, turns out you have to press and hold for a full second first, which nothing on the panel tells you. My wife walked over and did it in two seconds, and I felt like a total fool. Whatever happened to a knob you can just turn by feel in the dark? Anyone else run into these slider panels that seem built to make you guess?
