A sound guy at my buddy's studio in Nashville said my muffled keycaps ruined a take, so I swapped them
I record voiceover in a tiny closet setup and my keyboard was picking up this dull thud right in the middle of quiet sentences. After a session in Nashville, the engineer said "your clicks sound like someone knocking on a wet cardboard box," which stung but was true. I switched to sharper, higher pitched switches with thicker caps and the room mic barely catches them now, but I miss how soft the old ones felt, so what do you all pick when quiet matters more than feel?
