Bought a $45 rabbeting bit set, and it paid for itself on one face frame job
Was cutting a face frame last month and my $45 set saved me about 3 hours of chisel work, so now I'm wondering if anyone else has a cheap tool that ended up being the best money they ever spent.
Three hours of chisel work for a $45 bit set is wild. I spent way more than that on a single flush trim bit last year and it still chattered on half the cuts. What brand was the set, because at that price I would've figured it was garbage that dulls after one use. Not saying you're wrong, just genuinely surprised it held up on a face frame.
