PSA: I picked the 40 ft ladder over the 28 on a two story job in Dayton and my knees still hate me
Got a two story drop in Dayton last month and the guy swore the run was short enough for my 28 ft ladder. I climbed up, looked at the eave, and it was maybe 6 inches short of safe, so I dragged the 40 ft off the truck instead. Spent 3 hours wrestling that beast around a chain link fence and a rose bush, but the drop went clean on the first try. My helper filmed me carrying it back solo and now the whole shop calls me Ladder Guy. Anyone else got a height call story where the bigger stick saved the day?
