A crusty old repair guy in Pittsburgh showed me the hot plate trick for hazy lens cement and I've been using it since
He set the element to low, let the lens sit for 8 minutes, and the balsam separated clean with almost no force. Anyone else here warming up lenses before splitting them, or am I late to this one?
