I paid $180 for a Canva Pro team plan and Figma did the same job for free in about 20 minutes
Last month a client wanted a simple landing page mockup and 3 social banners done by Friday, so I bought a Canva Pro team plan for $180 because a friend swore by the templates. I spent a whole Saturday fighting the drag handles, the text boxes kept snapping to weird spots, and the free stock photos all had that same fake smiling office look. Then I opened Figma, rebuilt the exact same layout with auto layout and components, and it came out cleaner in about 20 minutes, and the free plan covered everything. So what am I actually paying Canva for, and has anyone else just dropped one of these tools completely after a job like this?
