Buddy at the shop changed my mind on ceramic wax

My buddy Mike who runs a detailing bay near Portland was telling me about how most spray waxes just sit on top of the clear coat and wash off in a couple weeks. He showed me a comparison he did last month where ceramic spray held up after 6 washes while the regular stuff was basically gone by wash 3. It hit different because I always thought ceramic was just hype for people with big budgets and garages. I snagged a bottle for like $18 and after trying it on my daily driver, I can see why he swears by it. Has anyone else ditched traditional wax for the ceramic sprays after seeing a real side by side test?
