Warning: cheap open trailer from a guy off Craigslist cost me $600 in repairs
Hired a guy in Reno with a flatbed to move my Civic 400 miles and he showed up with a trailer held together by bungee cords. Halfway through Nevada a strap snapped and the car shifted into the rail, denting the door and cracking a tail light. Has anyone actually found a decent broker who doesn't just farm it out to whoever is cheapest that day?
