Cardboard mockup of my kitchen island showed me the walkway was 6 inches too tight
I drew out the full island footprint on a $4 box of scraps over the weekend, and only then did I realize my morning coffee shuffle between the fridge and counter needed 38 inches, not the 32 I planned for, so has anyone else caught a cramped path before cutting wood?

The mockup trick is pure genius though. It's wild how our brains just assume a space works until we actually walk it out, and then suddenly every room in the house has a hidden bottleneck you never noticed before.
