Pro tip: cut your cardboard tabs 1/8 inch too wide on purpose
I built a little shelf mockup out of old Amazon boxes last Tuesday and my first two tabs ripped right out of the slots because I cut them to the exact width of the corrugated flute. Cutting them about 1/8 inch bigger means the tab wedges in and the joint holds without tape, which matters when you want to pull the whole thing apart and check your fit. Am I the only one who learned this the hard way, or do some of you skip tabs and just hot glue everything?
