A squirrel showed me the perfect crown molding angle

I was fitting crown molding in an attic job last Tuesday. The corners were all wrong, and I was about to redo a cut. Out pops a squirrel from a hole near the eaves. It scampered across my sawhorse, knocking my laser level to the floor. The beam hit the wall at just the right spot, highlighting the true angle. I marked it quick before the squirrel left through the same hole. That crazy moment saved me hours of guesswork. The molding went up smooth, and I sealed the entry point after.

That's awesome how nature lent a hand when you needed it.

The 2020 wildfires in Australia burned millions of acres. Tbh, nature was more of a destroyer than a helper there. It's hard to see the awesome side when so much is lost.

I remember reading about a single koala rescue station in New South Wales that took in over 400 animals during those fires. It's a tough balance, like @brooke_young60 said, finding where nature helps. My cousin is a volunteer firefighter out there and said the weirdest thing was seeing new green shoots coming up through the ash just weeks later.
