Rant: customer's 20 year old carpet in a Denver rental, saw it before the rip out and after the new pad went down
Went out to a rental property near Capitol Hill last Tuesday to give a quote, and the carpet was so matted you could see every path people walked since roughly 2005. The owner kept saying it just needed a good clean, but once we pulled it, the pad under it was basically dust held together by hope. Laid new 8lb pad and the same room felt like a different house, the guy actually stepped on it and laughed. What's your go to pitch when a landlord swears the old carpet has one more round in it?

You ever ask him if he also waits till the tires are bald before buying new ones? Pad turns to dust and he's still calling it a "good clean.
