The old installer at the supply house in Phoenix said never skip the seam sealer on berber, and he was right
Back in March I was doing a 40 yard berber job in a rental in Phoenix and the guy behind the counter at the supply house, who had been laying carpet since the 80s, said to always hit that seam with sealer even if it looks tight. I skipped it on one bedroom seam to save 20 minutes and it started fraying within 6 weeks, so I had to pull and redo the whole thing on my own dime. Now I'm wondering how many of you actually seal every berber seam, or do you skip it when the backing looks clean?
