Yeah I saw a whole thing about this on a home repair forum. Someone tested like five spray cleaners against the old paste types, and the spray ones wasted way more product because of overspray. The paste just goes right where you put it.

Honestly it's the same with everything these days. They take a simple thing like deodorant or cleaner and put it in a spray can for "convenience". Half the time it just gets all over the place instead of where you aim it. Feels like they fix what wasn't broken just to sell a new bottle.
